ChromoGel™ Salmonella RB Agar is a selective medium used for the isolation and identification of Salmonella from food and animal feed, water and other materials.

Formula for 500ml of medium	Vial
Propylene glycol	5ml

Preparation

# Dissolve 32.7g in 1000ml of distilled water (purified water)

# Heat and frequent stirring to completely dissolve the medium

# Heat with frequent stirring until boiling (DO NOT AUTOCLAVE)

# Cool to 45-50°C, add 2 vials ChromoGel Salmonella RB Supplements

# Mix well and dispense into appropriate sterile containers

Store the medium tightly closed in a dry place at room temperature and use before the expiry date on the label.
