Cytophaga medium is a selective medium for the isolation of Cytophaga and Flavobacterium species

Cytophaga Supplements

Formula for 500ml of Medium	Vial
Neomycin	2.5mg
Polymycin B	100.000UI

Preparation

# Dissolve 16.4g in 1000ml of distilled water (purified water)

# Heat and frequent stirring to completely dissolve the medium

# Autoclave at 121°C for 15 minutes

# Cool to 45-50°C (@)

# Mix well and dispense into appropriate sterile containers

(@)To make selective agar, add Neomycin 5mg/L, Polymycin B 200.000UI/L or 2 vials of Cytophaga Supplements
